Dennis Taylor was born in Coalisland, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, on January 19th, 1949. At the age of nine, he began playing snooker. He became one of the top snooker players worldwide. He won the British Junior Billiards Championship in 1967/68. He was also part of the 1973 World Snooker Championship. He made his professional debut in 1972.
