Joe Perry is an ace snooker player. British snooker player. He has had a few seasons at the lower levels of the game. He also enjoyed a few years at the top of the sport. He made it to the Top 16 for his first time in 2002. He has been in the Top 20 for three seasons.

Joe Perry has been dubbed "the Fen Potter" as well as "the Gentleman". He is a native of the Cambridgeshire area and became a professional in 1992. Since 2003, he has been a full time professional. Ken, his older brother, is also a professional.

Perry has been a constant fixture on the global stage, despite never having won a major ranking contest. In 2011, he finished inside the top eight provisional rankings for the first time, and in 2015, he won a minor-ranking event. He was a participant in a battle against Ronnie O'Sullivan at the Masters this year.

Perry has been in the finals at both the UK Championship as well as the European Open. He reached the quarter-finals for the World Championship. He reached semi-finals in the UK Championship in 2004 and lost to David Gray. The following season, he defeated Stuart Bingham and Judd Trump, but he went on to lose to Stephen Hendry in the final.


Having begun his snooker career at the age of twelve, he began to make his name as a top professional in the early 1990s. He reached the finals of the European Open in 2001. In spring 2001, he won in Wales the Open. He won the Welsh Open in late spring of that year. In 2014, he took part in Wuxi Classic.

In the same season, he beat Matthew Stevens as well as Marco Fu and Jamie Cope, reaching the semi-finals for the Masters. He went on to win his second ranking title. Later that year, he participated in both the Welsh Open (Xuzhou Open) and the Xuzhou Open. At the close of that season, his standings had fallen to a disappointing 14th.

Despite losing to Graeme Dott and Stephen Hendry, he has managed to secure a place in the top half of the world rankings. He won the Welsh Open Masters, Xuzhou Open and the Welsh Open Masters on his way up to the top. He has also taught people how to play the game.

He has tried many times to beat Ronnie O'Sullivan throughout his career. He won a 9-5 victory at the UK Championship's first round in 2008. He was just one frame from the Masters 2017 finals but lost to Ronnie O'Sullivan.

In the first round, he defeated Mark Selby, the current champion. He also won the Xuzhou Open in 2015. He is also a frequent guest commentator on BBC programmes and has taken a number courses.
