He has also been visiting a local billiards club in the Twin Cities every month.
Nguyen Queyet Nguyen is the Vietnamese player who is ranked second and third in billiards. Both of these players are ranked in top ten worldwide. Both players are currently ranked in the top eight, with Tran Quyet Chien ranked number seven. Both players are the tournament's champions. Ngo Dinh Nai is ranked at 29. Jeremy Bury, France is ranked 18.
The 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Continental Cup will take place in Vietnam on December 20-22, in Seoul. The tournament will be attended by eight top Vietnamese players. The total prize pool will be approximately 160,000 US dollars. The tournament will not be the only event. There will also be other events throughout each year.
The United States Billiard Association or USBA is the official governing authority for carom pool in the United States. The National Championship is the culmination of a series of events that are organized by the USBA. The top two players from the National Championship will represent the USA at the Pan-American Championship.

The cash prize for the Las Vegas World Cup 3-cushion Billiards Tournament is $20,000. This is the very first time that the Vietnamese sent a representative into the semi-finals.
Although the 3-Cushion Billiards Tournament may be a new game, it has gained popularity in many countries. It was also featured as a short animation in Disney's Mathmagic Country. It was also featured as a character in Seven Billiard Tables 2007, a Spanish film that won the Goya Award.
