Dafabet once again will be the title sponsorship of the World Pool Masters. Online sports betting platform Dafabet has partnered with several high-profile sports brands including Celtic FC and Norwich City FC. Dafabet also sponsors The British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship. It was the title sponsor of World Pool Masters 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Gibraltar will host 2020 World Pool Masters. The tournament will feature 24 of world's top players and a $100,000 prize money. Matchroom Pool Club subscribers get tickets on Monday December 9, and the general public on Tuesday December 10. David Alcaide was last year's champion. He will be trying to defend his title in front of a star-studded field.
Dafabet Master of Pool
Dafabet has extended its title sponsorship deal for the World Pool Masters. The tournament will take place in Gibraltar between 22 and 25 May 2019. The title sponsor of World Pool Masters 2017, 2018 and 2018, Dafabet was also present. In addition, Dafabet has other sporting sponsorship deals. In the past, Dafabet has been a partner with LaLiga and the Sussex cricket team Durham.
Dafabet World Pool Masters consists of an international nine-ball pool contest. It is the most popular event of its kind, and it has increased the prize money for the winner each year. The event's prize fund this year was $100,000. David Alcaide of Spain won the tournament. In the final, Alcaide beat Greek Alexander Kazakis by double the final ball's length. In the previous year's event, Niels Feijen reached the final by defeating Shane Van Boening. David Alcaide also lost to the Dutchman in round 1.
Joshua Filler
Joshua Filler, a Bonen German pool player, has made waves in the world professional pool. The 21-year old has won both the China Open and 10-ball European Pool Championships. He is the youngest person to win either of these two competitions. In addition to winning the China Open, he is also the youngest player to ever win the European Pool Championships.
Filler began playing the sport when he was seven years old and was already competing at national level. He represented Europe in the Mosconi Cup at age twenty-five. He was crowned the winner of the China Open 9,-ball tournament, and the European Pool Championship (ten-ball). The following year, he won the first world championship by beating Italian Carlo Biado. In addition to the World Pool Masters title, he won the Mosconi Cup and the World Cup of Pool. He also won the US Open Pool Championship.
Lo Hosum
The first Hong Kong pool player to reach the final at World Pool Masters, Lo Ho-sum, has expressed concerns about a recent budget cut. He is still relatively unknown outside his home country despite his recent success in the sport. Lo was an unofficial wild-card player to the Gibraltar tournament. He won a number of matches and reached the final. In the quarterfinals he beat Shane Van Boening. However, he lost the final to Joshua Filler. Before Lo's heroics, the pair was tied at six.
The World Pool Masters, a nine-ball tournament held each year to determine the top pool players around the globe, is a nine ball competition. The event was first held in Europe but expanded to include players from other parts of the world. Lo has a very solid professional record. He has also maintained a high ranking all through his career.
Sanchez Ruiz
Francisco Sanchez Ruiz defeated Max Lechner 13-10 to win the 2022 US Open Pool Championship. This win places him at the top on the Live Nineball World Rankings. He also receives $50,000 as the first award. Sanchez Ruiz became the first Spanish player, becoming the first to win one among pool's oldest majors. Sanchez Ruiz also passed Shane Van Boening with this win, pushing him over the $100,000 mark.
Sanchez Ruiz had a lot of difficult moments against Filler. After making two consecutive racks, Sanchez Ruiz was able overcome his nerves and won the match. After Filler fought back to take a three-point lead, Sanchez Ruiz managed to run out with a two-rack buffer.
