Rules for the Valley National 8-Ball League

Valley National 8-Ball League Association, (VNEA) is probably well-known to pool lovers. It has close to 100,000. Members and host of weekly leagues within over 400 cities. It has grown to be the world's biggest amateur pool league with 36 members and 36 countries. In addition, VNEA is an amusement business, generating a boatload of revenue. Apart from participating in local leagues the players are also eligible to compete in Valley National 8-Ball League Association international championships. These championships are held annually from May 27 through Juni 5.

The Valley National 8-Ball League Association allows players to compete in leagues based their skill level. Every league has a captain who collects league fees and keeps score sheets. The captain coordinates all activities and ensures that everyone understands the rules. The captain assists the team in preparing for events and is responsible to collect scores.

The VNEA is well-known for its support of sportsmanship. The VNEA has awarded the Sportsmanship Award to its members, which is voted upon by them. The league also promotes local businesses. The operator assistance network provides help to VNEA members who run or operate locations, while the LeagueSMART conference offers software, table control, and increased table revenue. You can also get league materials such as score sheets, table markers, envelopes and other supplies from the league.


VNEA Pool Leagues allow players to play in friendly competition against other league members. Players are required to play on 7 by 3.5 ft "bar box" coin-operated pool tables, which are smaller than 9 by 4.5 ft regulation tables. VNEA leagues also organize non-team regular tournaments which allow local players to challenge the best.

VNEA have honored past players for their contributions in the pool league. Caela Gibson has been an active participant in the league since its conception in 1999. She has won many titles at the VNEA World Championships. She has won many tournament titles, including singles, team events, and women's regular 8-ball singles. She is an active supporter of the VNEA Colorado. For the past two years, she has been a major fundraiser for Gene Pool league. She has organized numerous benefit events for cancer research as well as street children.

Another pool player with a long and impressive history in the VNEA is Shane Bloomberg. He is the grandson of Jeanie, Gary, and Jeanie. Shane has been an active player in the VNEA since he was nine years old. He has been a top-ranked pool player in the world. He is a regular contender in the Pro Tour, and is expected to be named Player of the Decade in 2020.
